Overview

Topcoat Anti-Slip is a traditional ultra-high quality coach enamel finish achieving a 90% gloss sheen level, featuring a synthetic granular material added to provide a slip-resistant finish. It is a synthetic gloss enamel designed for brush and roller application, making it ideal for use in walkways, roof and cockpit areas. It is highly pigmented which gives excellent covering power. It also contains non-aggressive solvents, meaning it is the ideal choice over existing paint services. The high quality allows for longer maintenance intervals, extending life between repaints.

Anti-Slip is dosed with anti-slip beads (not sand) for when you need a bit of grip. Perfect for steps, roofs, truck bodies, and boat decks. Again, where there are surfaces where feet go, the conventional Topcoat Gloss if it gets wet will cause people to have an accident. Sand is not used as it is too aggressive and over time would start to peel off the surface, hence proper anti-slip beads are used.

Usage

PREPARATION

Use Symphony Narrowboat Paint Anti-Slip over a wide variety of surfaces that have been suitably sanded, primed and undercoated. We recommend Symphony Narrowboat Paint Metal Primer and Symphony Narrowboat Paint Undercoat. Remove loose or blistered paint and flat down existing surfaces with 320 Grit sanding. Remove sanding dust by wiping with a tack cloth. Tape off edges using low tack masking tape.

APPLICATION

Stir well prior to use. Apply the first coat to a DFT of 35 microns (+/- 5 microns). Apply evenly in 3ft sections by HD Foam Roller and if necessary laid off by Synthetic Brush. Leave to dry for a minimum of 24 hours before application of the second coat. Minimum Total DFT after two coats of Metal Primer, three coats of Undercoat and three coats of Topcoat should be 200 microns. If required, add up to 10% Thinner 2611 or 2612 or 5% PPA brush additive to ease application. Avoid cold, damp or high humidity conditions.
